Monster is committed to protecting the privacy of our employees, former employees, contractors, and beneficiaries. We strive to provide a safe and secure work environment. This Privacy Notice describes how your personal information is collected, used, shared, and secured for employment and beneficiary purposes.
By applying for a job and/or accepting employment at Monster, you agree to the collection, use and transfer of your data as described in this Privacy Notice. Information Monster collects is stored in the United States and/or your home country and may become subject to U.S. law.
SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY NOTICE
This privacy policy applies to information Monster Worldwide, LLC. or its affiliated companies (“Monster” or “we”) collect or use in the applicant tracking system GR8 People. Affiliated companies are entities that control, are controlled by, or are under common control with Monster Worldwide, LLC.

DEFINITIONS
Contract Employers means parties that place contract employees to fill positions at Monster.
Employee means both current and former direct employees of Monster or contract employees who are assigned to work at Monster.
Personal Information and Personal Data shall have the same meaning as defined under applicable law.
Service Providers means those parties that provide employment and benefit administration services on Monster’s behalf.
Third Parties as Required by Law means entities that must receive information because of a legal obligation. This includes both government agencies and law enforcement pursuant to a lawful request. Information may be shared with these parties to protect the rights or property of Monster and our affiliated companies, investigate fraud, prevent crime, protect national security, or to protect the personal safety of users or the public. Monster will take reasonable steps to share the minimum information necessary.
INFORMATION MONSTER COLLECTS, PROCESSES, USES, AND STORES
Monster collects personal information to:
- create a GR8 People account
- fill positions with Monster
- process applicant information
- contact prospective, current, and former employees
- to manage employee files and information
- analyze, improve, and optimize Monster employment
Monster collects information the following ways:
- when you apply to a position at Monster
- when you create a GR8 People account
- when you accept employment with Monster
- from contract employers seeking to place you into a position at Monster
Monster may disclose and transfer personal information to a third party who acquires any or all of Monster’s business units, whether such acquisition is by way of merger, consolidation or purchase of all or a substantial portion of our assets. In addition, in the event Monster becomes the subject of an insolvency proceeding, such information will be disposed of in a transaction approved by the court. You will be notified of the sale of all or a substantial portion of our business to a third party by email or through a prominent notice posted on the site.

RETENTION PERIOD
GR8 will retain your personal information for as long as there is a business need and purpose or a legal requirement to retain the information. You may request a copy of the retention period by contacting Human Resources for your region.

GR8 People uses cookies to analyze trends, administer the website, track users’ movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our userbase. Cookies help personalize and maximize your use of the site, including storing user preferences, improving search results, ad selection, and tracking user trends. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
You may submit a Personal Data Request to Monster, and we will respond pursuant to applicable law. If you are employed by a contract employer, you must contact them to exercise the privacy rights described below.
Right to Request Access to Personal Information/Right to Know
Description
You may have the right to know whether Monster has collected personal information from you. You may request that Monster tell you:
- The categories or specific pieces of personal information that Monster has collected about you
- the categories of sources where Monster obtained personal information about you
- the business purposes for which Monster collects your personal information
- the categories of third parties with which Monster shares personal information

We will make commercially reasonable efforts to fulfill your request within 45 days in the US and 30 days in Canada, Switzerland, the UK, and EEA; however, if we need more time, we may extend the time an additional 30-45 days (based on your region) and notify you. Right to Request Deletion/Right to be Forgotten/Restrict Processing
Description
You may have the right to request that Monster delete any of your personal information that Monster has collected from you, with certain exceptions. We may refuse your request if we are required by law to keep the information, or if the law otherwise permits us to keep the information. If we deny a request, we will tell you why the request was denied. Where required, we will instruct any service providers or third parties to delete your information.

Description
Monster only collects sensitive personal information for employment purposes and to process taxes for contest/sweepstakes winners, as permitted by law. Monster does not collect sensitive personal information, as defined by applicable law, for targeted advertising.
Right to Non-Discrimination
Description
You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of your rights.

Description
In accordance with Article 85 of the French Data Protection Act ("the Act"), French residents have the right to give instructions regarding the retention, communication, or deletion of their personal data after their death.
Monster will delete personal data in accordance with the posted retention policy. In addition, the person you designate may contact Monster to provide further instructions and supporting documentation required at that time.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Standard Contractual Clauses: When necessary, Monster transfers personal data from the EU Member States, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom pursuant to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum.
