Director of Finance

Monster is seeking a Director of Finance to join our team in Weston, MA. The Director of Finance will contribute to strategic decision making and risk/performance management, maintain professional objectivity, constructively challenging business, and facilitates transparency of financial performance across their organization.

Primary Functions

  • Serve as the key finance business partner that provides business decision support and analysis to the Digital (e-Commerce) and Technology & Productfunctions and the finance leadership team to inform key financial decisions (i.e., resource allocation, trade-offs, efficiencies, growth initiatives, etc.)
  • Partner with business leaders and key stakeholders across the organization to provide pragmatic financial insights and recommendations to drive revenue growth while scaling the Digital business
  • Recommend, analyze and lead new initiatives to improve productivity and performance including new investments and strategies across the business
  • Distil complex analyses into concise, actionable outputs and present to both external and internal stakeholders
  • Providing executive leadership with monthly and quarterly analyses and metrics that assess and report on performance across key indicators against operating and capital plan, forecast, and prior periods
  • Synthesize and communicate key financial and business insights to drive decision-making with operational executives
  • Lead, build, and mentor the high performing finance team by providing respected leadership, implementing best practices, and demonstrating Monster’s core values.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or other quantitative discipline required; MBA preferred but not required
  • 8+ years in Corporate Finance or in Financial Consulting roles
  • Previous experience managing direct reports
  • Partnering for Success: Understands Monster’s business, different lines of business and industry trends
  • Understands partners’ priorities and acts as a co-pilot to guide them through financial and business decisions
  • Develops a holistic perspective by breaking down silos and incorporating views from other teams and functions
  • Financial Acumen & Control: Prioritizes risks and develops solutions to achieve business objectives while remaining compliant with financial and accounting standards
  • Drives for Results: Proactively identifies and informs stakeholders about opportunities and risks to improve efficiency and profitability
  • Adapts approach and prioritizes activities, as necessary, to deal with uncertainty and change
  • Analytics & Problem Solving: Ensures data accuracy and integrity and conducts detailed analysis to solve problems and provide recommendations and insights
  • Considers the big picture, including all stakeholders, and looks beyond the obvious to anticipate problems and data needs and proactively find solutions
  • Influencing and Negotiation Skills: Masters ability to listen, interpret, influence, challenge, build relationships, resolve conflict, presentation and discussion facilitation, conflict resolution  and negotiation
  • Previous experience in Internet Media or Human Capital industry is preferred, but not required
